Youth & Family Program
Engaging the Next Generation
Using Irish culture and arts, our Youth and Family Program works with the youngest members of our community and their families
If you have questions about our youth and family programs or would like to get involved, please contact Kathleen Howlett at khowlett@irishchicago.org or call 773-282-8445 ext. 2
Toddler Playgroup
Playgroup offers toddlers and their caregivers an opportunity to gather in a warm community setting to play, learn and grow.
Kids can play together and learn about Irish culture through games, crafts, music, and more! Come along to connect with families in the community!
Meetings take place on Tuesdays between 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in room 302 at the Irish American Heritage Center.
All are welcome, no prior registration is required, and snacks and refreshments are complimentary for all attendees!
Celebrate Together
We celebrate being Irish everyday but for special occasions we host community family gatherings that are extra special.
For Halloween, Christmas, and Saint Patrick’s Day we host events with Irish-themed crafts and activities that offer community members a chance to connect and celebrate!
Keep an eye on our social media accounts and sign up for our email newsletter to stay up-to-date with our holiday celebrations.
Play & Learn
Looking for fun and easy ways to teach your kids about Irish culture?
Our Play & Learn video series uses engaging visuals, simple crafts, and fun storytimes to introduce little ones Irish heritage. You’ll find videos on Irish language, St. Patrick’s Day crafts, and ancient Irish myths.
